Welcome to Women Executives!
Women Executives (WE), founded in 1977, is a diverse group of accomplished professional women whose mission is to support and nurture each other's personal and career growth. Our members are senior executives in corporate, entrepreneurial, sales, non-profit and professional positions in a wide variety of industries and organizations in the Charlotte metro area.
WE members develop and grow relationships through engagement in a wide range of activities including monthly speakers, informal networking events and affinity groups.
Our theme for the 2011-2012 year is CELEBRATE THE BEST OF; ENVISION WHAT MIGHT BE. This theme will challenge all of us to
· preserve our vitality and illuminate what we do best
· combat complacency with a possibilities leadership mindset
· see WE as a community not just an organization
· increase our capacity to find a deeper purpose in all we do as leaders
Although our 250 plus members are already highly involved in the community on their own, our members also share their success by supporting our 501(c)(3) affiliate, Women Executives in Community Service (WECS). This group provides scholarships and mentoring support through Women Initiating and Nurturing Growth through Scholarships (WINGS) for female undergraduate students, 25 years or older, who are pursing higher education as a way to improve their lives.
